Draft Risk RAI: Question 6
- Wayne, One additional question resulted from the April risk audit in Austin, TX. Please see below and let me know if you have any questions. The previous draft questions 1-5 were sent to you by email on March 22, 2016 (ML16082A484).
I am currently processing the formal RAI for the Risk questions and expect to issue those next week. Based on our telephone discussion, I understand you plan to respond to the risk questions with the 90-day response from the Round 3 RAI (ML16082A507). Since Round 3 was issued on April 11, 2016, I understand the risk RAI response will be submitted on or before July 11, 2016.
I will continue using the new numbering from the round 3 RAI. For clarity, the Risk RAI will be designated as Round 4 even though it is an extension of Round 3. The questions will be designated APLA-4-1 through APLA-4-6.
Confirm the accuracy of the computation of the CDF for the double-ended guillotine break (DEGB)-only model that was provided (STPNOC, 2015a and 2015b). It appears that the current approach assumes, for example, that a 12.8-in DEGB could occur in larger diameter pipes (e.g., 27.5-in, 29-in, and 31-in diameter pipes). Include arithmetic and geometric mean approaches.
