By letter dated December 16, 2015 (Reference 1 ), NextEra Energy Point Beach, LLC (NextEra),

provided notification of full compliance with Order EA-12-049 and submitted a Final Integrated Plan. NextEra's submittal indicates Point Beach Nuclear Power Plant utilized the guidance in NEI 12-06, Diverse and Flexible Coping Strategies (FLEX) Implementation Guide. NEI 12-06, Revision 0, was utilized in preparing and implementing the FLEX strategies. Subsequently, JLD-ISG-2012-01, Revision 1 (References 2 and 3), endorsed use of NEI 12-06, Revision 2 (Reference 4).

This letter is providing documentation of NextEra's intent to use NEI 12-06, Revision 2, to complete mitigating strategies assessments (NEI 12-06, Revision 2, Appendices G and H) and as a guide for FLEX strategies. NextEra does not intend at this time to revise the existing strategy for use of spent fuel pool spray, as described in NEI 12-06, Revision 0.

Use of NEI 12-06, Revision 2, does not change the information provided in NextEra's Final Integrated Plan (FIP), therefore a new FIP submittal will not be made.
