Reference:

1. NRC letter to Entergy Nuclear Operations, Inc., Palisades Nuclear Plant, Unit 1 Inspection of Temporary Instruction 22011004, "Inspection of Implementation of Interim Cyber Security Milestones 1-7" Inspection Report 0500025512015407, dated October 14, 2015 (ADAMS Accession No. ML15289A409).

Dear Sir or Madam:

The purpose of this letter is to notify the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) Region III that Entergy Nuclear Operations, Inc. (ENO) Palisades Nuclear Plant (PNP) has completed the corrective actions for the violations listed in Inspection Report 05000255/2015407, Inspection of Implementation of Interim Cyber Security Milestones 1-7 (Reference 1).

As documented in the inspection report, on September 17, 2015, the NRC completed an inspection at the PNP that covered the interim cyber security Milestones 1-7 of the security cornerstone. The inspection identified three non-cited violations that were subsequently reviewed by the Security Issues Forum (SIF) Panel which concluded that enforcement discretion is applicable to the three violations.

Additionally, the inspection report requested ENO to provide written notification to the NRC's regional office as to the method and date of closure for the identified issues. The attachment to this letter provides the requested closure information.

ENO requests that the attachment to this letter, which contains security-related information (SRI), be withheld from public disclosure in accordance with 10 CFR 2.390.
