RIVER BEND STATION - RESPONSE TO NOTICE OF VIOLATION (NRC INSPECTION REPORT 05000458/2015009)
Dear Mr. Olson:
On September 10, 2015, the Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) cited Entergy Operations, Inc.s failure to maintain the simulator so it would accurately reproduce the operating characteristics of the facility as required by 10 CFR 55.46(c)(1), Plant-Referenced Simulators.
The Notice of Violation, enclosed with Inspection Report 05000458/2015009 (ML15253A352),
required you to respond in writing within 30 days. You responded by letter dated September 25, 2015 (ML15280A008).
We have reviewed your response and find that it meets the requirements of 10 CFR 2.201. We will review your corrective actions during a future inspection.
In accordance with 10 CFR 2.390 of the NRC's "Rules of Practice," a copy of this letter will be made available electronically for public inspection in the NRC Public Document Room or from the NRCs Agencywide Documents Access Management System (ADAMS), which is accessible from the NRC Web site at http://www.nrc.gov/reading-rm/adams.html (the Public Electronic Reading Room).
