Dear U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission,

New York State Department of Environmental Conservation Basil Seggos, Acting Commissioner, New York State Department of Environmental Conservation Division of Fish, Wildlife and Marine Resources My name is James Sullivan I'm born resident in the state of New York. I am writing regards to Indian Point Energy Center in Buchanan, New York. I am very concern that U.S. Nuclear Commission wants to renew the license for Indian point energy center. It is costing counties lot of money to print booklets to residents of maps, it cost lot of money to test the sirens, train law enforcement how to respond in case something did happened at the center.

I am very concern my town is not on the zone map but the other towns around me are, I do not drive and I am home most of the day, I could not imagine if something did happened at the Indian point I would not able to drive myself away from the danger zone, I would be stuck at home with my dog. No body is not safe with Indian point because there is so many issues go on at that place.

My grandma who lives in Peekskill, New York only few miles from Buchanan and she to gets worried some times what if something happened at the plant, she can not drive and she has no body to take her to safe location, my family lives 45 minutes from her house.

U.S. Nuclear Commission may not be aware that 2.5 million gallons of water withdrawn daily from the Hudson for cooling. estimated 1 billion larvae, small fish and other organisms annually.

That is lot of fish they are killing in the Hudson river. Indian point is killing the ecosystem and Biodiversity in the Hudson river. My dad has a boat on the Hudson river during summer months I would see dead fish floating in the middle of the Hudson river near Indian point.

Indian point is not safe place at all, they have to many close calls, there use to be reports of guards sleep on the job and not guarding the entrance. This place must be shut down. I am writing to nuclear commission to shut down this place. I am calling on NYS DEC to look into the fish near Indian point and why Indian point killing the fish. Governor of NY wants Indian point to be shut down and I believe NYS DEC should join with the governor and both of them should urge U.S. Nuclear commission to shut it down.

Thank you, James
