Dr. Prater has over 25 years of diversified consulting experience in meteorology/atmospheric science in industry and government. His government consulting experience includes NASA, U.S. Army, and the Department of Homeland Security. His industrial experience covers a wide range of industries and includes air quality modeling, accidental release modeling, expert testimony and financial risk modeling. He developed a technique for re-constructing post-accident reconstruction images on cockpit radar that has been used in several high-profile weather-related accidents. Dr. Prater has also taught courses on air dispersion modeling and risk management. He has published over 50 technical papers, ranging from peer-reviewed publications to software technical manuals.
