Site: SALEM Emergency Class: NON EMERGENCY "At approximately 0942 ESTon December 11th, 2015, a deceased Short Nosed Sturgeon was removed from the Salem Unit 1 Circulating Water System (CWS) Intake trash racks at the Salem Generating Station. A report was made by Environmental Licensing to the National Marine Fisheries at 1121 EST and NJDEP Division of Fish & Wildlife at 1124.
Nuclear Environmental Affairs has made a determination that this is a 4 hr report to the NRC under RAL 11.8.2.a."
The licensee notified the NRC Resident Inspector.
Notified the R1DO ( Dentel) and Endangered Species group via email.
