PALISADES NUCLEAR PLANT - CORRECTION LETTER FOR AMENDMENT NO. 257 TO RENEWED FACILITY OPERATING LICENSE TO IMPLEMENT 10 CFR 50.61a, "ALTERNATE FRACTURE TOUGHNESS REQUIREMENTS FOR PROTECTION AGAINST PRESSURIZED THERMAL SHOCK EVENTS" (CAC NO. MF4528)

Dear Sir or Madam:

On November 23, 2015, the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) issued Amendment No. 257 to Renewed Facility Operating License No. DPR-20 for the Palisades Nuclear Plant (Agencywide Documents Access and Management System (ADAMS) Accession No. ML15209A791).

Following issuance of the amendment, the NRC staff noted that an error had been inadvertently introduced into a license condition page. Specifically, the content originally located in License Section 2.C.(8) was moved from page 5b to page 5c with the issuance of Amendment No. 254 dated February 27, 2015 (ADAMS Accession No. ML15007A191). Therefore, the change to the license condition associated with Amendment No. 257 should be located on page 5c instead of page Sb.

The NRC staff concludes that the error was introduced during preparation of the license amendment and is entirely editorial in nature. The proposed correction does not change any of the conclusions in the safety evaluation associated with the amendment and does not affect the associated notice to the public. Please find enclosed the replacement pages.
