Dear Sir or Madam:

Entergy Nuclear Operations, Inc. (Entergy) applied for renewal of the operating licenses for Indian Point Nuclear Generating Units Nos. 2 and 3 in April 2007 (References 1, 2 and 3). IP2 has already entered the period of extended operation (PEO). The IP3 operating license will expire on December 12, 2015 and would enter the PEO at that time. Because approval of the License Renewal Application (LRA) is not expected to be completed prior to December 12, 2015, Entergy previously committed to perform full implementation of its license renewal commitments prior to entering the PEO. *L(c* *'

NL-1 5-121 Docket No. 50-286 Page 2 of 2 The purpose of this letter is to provide confirmation to the NRC that Entergy has implemented the LRA commitments identified in Reference 5, required to be implemented prior to entry into the PEO. Attachment 1 in Reference 5 provides the current List of Regulatory Commitments, Revision 28. On September 17, 2015, Entergy requested a one-week extension and received verbal authorization from the NRC to provide this confirmation.

Entergy will notify the NRC under a separate letter that it has updated the Unit 3 Updated Final Safety Analysis Report to reflect the aging management programs.

There are no new regulatory commitments in this submittal.
