Dear Sir or Madam:

Entergy Nuclear Operations, Inc. (ENO) is providing notification to the Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) of Palisades Nuclear Plant's (PNP) intent to utilize American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) Code Case N-716-1, Alternative Classification and Examination Requirements,Section XI, Division 1, for the current third period of the fourth 10-year Inservice Inspection Interval.

Pursuant to 10 CFR 50.55a(a)(3)(ii), as conditioned by 10 CFR 50.55a(b)(5), ASME Code Case N-716-1 is acceptable for use without prior NRC approval by reference in Section C, Staff Regulatory Guidance, Table 1, Acceptable Section XI Code Cases, of NRC Regulatory Guide (RG) 1.147, Inservice Inspection Code Case Acceptability, ASME Section XI, Division 1, Revision 17 (Reference 1), as noticed in the Federal Register (79 FR 65776) on November 5, 2014.

Summary of Commitments This letter contains no new commitments and no revised commitments.
