OF THE MAY 14, 2015, PUBLIC OPEN HOUSE REGARDING BRAIDWOOD AND DRESDEN NUCLEAR POWER STATIONS On May 19, 2015, the Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) held a public open house to discuss the 2014 annual assessment results for Braidwood and Dresden Nuclear Power Stations at the Braidwood City Hall in Braidwood, Illinois. The purpose of the open house was to provide an opportunity for the public to discuss NRC activities, nuclear power issues and Braidwood and Dresden Nuclear Power Stations performance for the period of January 1, 2014 through December 31, 2014. The NRC letter and meeting notice for this open house can be found in Agencywide Documents Access and Management System (ADAMS) as ML15093A122 and ML15092A882 respectively. Enclosed are attendee lists for the meeting.
The NRC provided discussions related to the NRCs assessment of the Braidwood and Dresden Nuclear Power Stations performance, which was documented in the March 4, 2015, End-of-Cycle Assessment Letters (reference ADAMS Accession Numbers ML15062A541 and ML15602A572, respectively). As part of this open house, both Exelon and Illinois Emergency Management Agency were available to address questions and concerns. Slides used to describe the NRCs Reactor Oversight Process and Braidwood and Dresden Nuclear Power Stations 2014 performance can be found in ADAMS under ML15135A426 and ML15135A425, respectively. Throughout the open house, members of the public were given the opportunity to ask questions of Exelon officials and NRC officials.
