14-508A RO 50-281 DPR-37 VIRGINIA ELECTRIC AND POWER COMPANY SURRY POWER STATION UNIT 2 RESPONSE TO REQUEST FOR ADDITIONAL INFORMATION 2014 STEAM GENERATOR INSERVICE INSPECTION REPORT By letter dated October 16, 2014 (Serial No.14-508), Virginia Electric and Power Company (Dominion) submitted information summarizing the results of steam generator (SG) tube inspections performed at Surry Power Station Unit 2 during the Spring 2014 refueling outage. On March 25, 2015, the NRC requested additional information related to the SG inspections. The NRC's questions and Dominion's responses are provided in the attachment to this letter.

Virginia Electric and Power Company (Dominion) submitted steam generator tube inspection results from the Spring 2014 inspections at Surry Power Station, Unit 2. In order to complete its review, the NRC staff requests the following additional information.
The Dominion responses are provided below.
- 1. Please clarify the statement that "no anomalous conditions" associated with the primary channel head inspections were observed. Please clarify whether any degradation was observed.
Response: No degradation or any other condition adverse to quality was observed during the primary channel head inspections.
- 2. Please clarify the statement that "no adverse conditions" were noted during the secondary side internals inspection.

- 3. In Table 1, please clarify that 100% of the tubes in steam generators B and C were inspected full-length with a bobbin coil except for the U-bend region of the tubes in rows 1 and 2.

- 4. Please discuss the purpose of the array probe examinations.
Response: The array probe examinations are used for detection of indications or loose parts at the top of the tube sheet region of the tube.
