Request for UFSAR sections Hello Roger:
I withdrew FOIA/PA-2015-00082 seeking all the UFSARs on the conditions that the NRC staff was seeking Commission approval of a policy to restore these and other documents to public ADAMS and that a process be developed to acquire individual UFSARs in the interim.
A need for an UFSAR, or at least small portions of it, has arisen.
A UCS member living within the EPZ around the Limerick Generating Station contacted me with a concern about railroad traffic passing very close to the facility. The concern involved a rail accident that could pose a hazard to the facility.
I informed the UCS member about NRC Reg Guide 1.91 Rev. 2 (ML12170A980) and Standard Review Plan Sections 2.2.1 and 2.2.3 (ML070460330 and ML070460336 respectively) that establish NRC expectations on how such potential hazards are to be evaluated.
But I did not find UFSAR Sections 2.2.1 and 2.2.3 for Limerick in public ADAMs. These sections would summarizes the evaluations conducted by Limerick personnel of the rail hazard as well as conclusions that the hazard does not pose an undue threat.
I'd like UFSAR Sections 2.2.1 and 2.2.3 for the Limerick Generation Station (Docket Nos. 50-352 and 50-353).
I'm not sure of the interim process. Should I submit a FOIA request for this information or use some other process?
