Correction to the 2013 Annual Report - Texas A&M University System, Texas Engineering Experiment Station, Nuclear Science Center (License No. R-83, Docket 50-128)
To Whom It May Concern:
During the composition of the Nuclear Science Center R-83 Annual Report for 2014, I discovered an error in the calculation for the total release of Ar-4 listed in Table 5-5.
Upon review of the previous year, 2013, the total amount of Ar-41 released was incorrect. In Section 5.5 Gaseous Effluent Monitoring, the total amount released was reported as 0.44 Ci. After correcting the calculation, the total amount of Ar-41 released for 2013 was no more than 10.4 Ci. This amount is a conservative calculation and includes data for Ar-41 that was not released, but held for decay during calibration and testing. I am requesting that the total amount of Ar-41 released in the 2013 Nuclear Science Center R-83 Annual Report be edited to reflect the re-calculated total of 10.4 Ci.
