EA-14-168 Palisades Meeting Feedback Form.pdf Mr. Kamps

Thank you for taking the time out to drive over here and attend this public meeting. While I realize that we may not have had as extensive a public comment period as you would have liked, I believe we were consistent with the information we provided to you originally (see below.) I hope the answers that you received responded to the questions asked.

If you have any additional questions that you would like to have added to the record, please provide them within the next week. I will attach them to the conference summary, which will be issued with 30 days of the conference. They can be sent to me at the e-mail address below.

Finally, Ive attached a meeting feedback form. I would be interested in any comments that you have about the meeting. This is also available on the NRC meeting notice.

Thank you.

I hope the answers he received responded to your questions.

Mr. Kamps, It was nice talking to you.

Thanks for letting me know that youll be here in person. As I said, Ill have a visitor badge made up for you. If you have any problems with directions, feel free to give me a call (even last minute, if needed.)

Also, Id like to again reassure you that there will be an opportunity for questions (relating

to the conference issue) following the conference: both for those in person and those on the phone. Were also allowing people to e-mail questions in advance (or during the conference) that well answer as well. I hope that this is responsive.

Finally, again, please do check in with me on Tuesday if the weather is bad. The current long-range forecast has next week looking much better than this week, and we dont cancel for anything less than blizzards but a phone call is definitely less onerous than a 3hour trip!

RSVP for Jan. 13 reg. conf. w/Entergy Palisades

Dear Patricia,

I just read in one of the various meeting announcements that I should let you know that I will be attending next Tuesday's regulatory conference in person, to facilitate my entry into NRC Region 3 HQ. I do plan to be there in person.

Also, in follow up to a voice mail I left earlier today, it is not clear to me that a public comment section will be provided as part of the meeting agenda, such as after the conclusion of NRC's interchange with Entergy. If there is no public comment session planned, I urge that it be added. At a similar regulatory conference with Entergy Palisades at NRC Region 3 HQ three years ago now, a public comment session was a part of the agenda. In fact, there are many precedents I could cite, in NRC interactions with industry, where public comment is part and parcel of the agenda. Could you please urge the decision makers at NRC to add a public comment session onto the agenda for this meeting?

Thank you.

Sincerely, Kevin Kamps, Beyond Nuclear and Don't Waste Michigan (board member, Kalamazoo chapter)
