DOMINION RESOURCES SERVICES, INC. FOR KEWAUNEE POWER STATION MILLSTONE POWER STATION UNITS 1, 2 AND 3 NORTH ANNA AND SURRY POWER STATIONS UNITS I AND 2 REQUEST FOR QUALITY ASSURANCE PROGRAM APPROVAL FOR RADIOACTIVE MATERIAL PACKAGES NO. 0194 By letter dated June 30, 2006, the Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) provided Quality Assurance Program Approval for Radioactive Material Packages No. 0194, Revision 10, for Kewaunee Power Station, Millstone Power Station Units 1, 2 and 3, and North Anna and Surry Power Stations Units 1 and 2. As noted in that letter, the Approval remains in effect until the expiration date indicated in Block No. 3 of the Approval form. The indicated date in Block No. 3 is July 30, 2015.
In view of the pending expiration date later this year, Dominion Resources Services, Inc.
requests renewal of Quality Assurance Program Approval for Radioactive Material Packages No. 0194.
We presently apply and intend to continue the application of our previously approved 10 CFR 50, Appendix B, Quality Assurance Program to the packaging and transportation of radioactive materials, thereby satisfying the provisions of Subpart H to 10 CFR 71. The NRC approved the Dominion fleet Quality Assurance Program (DOM-QA-1) by letter dated September 9, 2005.
