Pursuant to the Freedom oflnformation Act (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. § 552, I hereby request the opportunity to review and copy the following:
- All engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) contracts, whether entered into or proposed, relevant to the Plant Vogtle project, Units 3 and 4, including the contract signed on or around April 8, 2008 between Southern Company and a Westinghouse-Shaw consortium and any amendments or other supplementation to that contract;
- All agreements or contracts, whether entered into or proposed, submitted as part of the construction and operating license application (COLA) for the Plant Vogtle project, Units 3 and4; and
- All other agreements or contracts, whether entered into or proposed, relevant to the investment, design, engineering, financing, construction, startup commissioning, shakedown, operations, or maintenance of the Plant Vogtle project, Units 3 and 4.
I request that you notify me in writing at the above address of the determination as to whether this request is granted. If you deny any or all of this request, please cite each specific exemption you believe justifies your refusal to release the information and notify us of the appeal procedures available under law. Any reasonably segregable portion of a responsive record must be provided after redaction of any allegedly exempt material. See 5 U.S.C. § 552(b). We agree to pay all charges authorized by law or applicable regulations in connection with this request, subject to the condition that you contact me in advance for authorization if the charges will exceed $250.00.
