NRC-2014-0260-DRAFT-0025 Comment on FR Doc # 2015-01707

7/,- / .- , Submitter Information Name: Gregg Crawford [i -Address: ,...."-3 Birch St Greenfield, MA, 01301 .Emafl: gsc@msn.com General Comment W I oppose the NRC granting Vermont Yankee, Entergy Inc. an exemption which would allow the end of funding for the 10 mile radius emergency planning zone (EPZ). Also, I am requesting that the NRC deny Entergy Inc. an exemption which would delay the present 15 minute notification time to 60 minutes (1 hour1.157407e-5 days
2.777778e-4 hours
1.653439e-6 weeks
3.805e-7 months
). I support the State of VermontdE'Ms efforts to require Entergy Inc., the owner of Vermont Yankee, to continue EPZ emergency planning zone coverage for the present 10 mile radius around Vermont Yankee and continue funding the EPZ until the spent fuel pool is empty and all radioactive spent fuel is in dry cask storage.dE I live about 12 miles south of VT Yankee, and I think it is highly irresponsible of Entergy to try and back out of this very basic system of alerting people living in close proximity to the plant in the event of a nuclear incident caused by accident, natural disaster, or terrorist attack at the plant. The NRC (or US Gov't) advised the people of Japan to evacuate 50 miles away from the Fukushima disaster, so Entergy can at least provide a safety plan of 15 minutes notification and a 10 mile evacuation plan for the VT Yankee plant in the event of an accident at the plant. I would hope that Entergy (and the NRC) would provide the same level of protection that they would want for themselves and their families if they lived close to the plant.SUNSI Review Complete Template = ADM -013 E-RIDS= ADM-03 Add= https://www.fdms.gov/fdms-web-agency/component/contentstreamer?objectfd=09000064819fb5cO&for...
