The State of New York and the Riverkeeper respectfully request, pursuant to 10 C.F.R.
§ 2.307, a four-day extension of the time to file new or amended contentions, as authorized by the Atomic Safety and Licensing Boards December 9, 2014 Revised Scheduling Order, from Monday, February 9, 2015 to Friday, February 13, 2015. Entergy, NRC Staff, and Clearwater do not oppose this request.
Good cause supports this request. Co-petitioners the State of New York and Riverkeeper intend to present a motion to supplement previously-admitted contentions. Under the Boards December 9, 2014 order, such a request is due on Monday, February 9, 2015.1 The State and Riverkeeper have been preparing documents to support such a request. As part of that effort, the State has been working with its expert, Dr. Richard Lahey. However, the State recently learned that its expert would unexpectedly be unavailable for three days during this week due to a medical issue. The State and Riverkeeper have consulted with counsel for Entergy, NRC Staff, and Clearwater, and those parties do not oppose the request.
Accordingly, the State and Riverkeeper request that the Board grant their motion.
