Mr. Ramsey, This email is in response to your amendment request dated February 22, 2012. During the review of your amendment request, we found that additional information is needed in order to amend your Registration Certificate GA-0716-D-108-B. Please provide the following information:

1. In your letter dated February 22, 2012, you refer to your device as a Model CS2100 and CoalSCAN 2100. However, your current Registration Certificate GA-0716-D-108-B lists the device as Model COALSCAN 2100 and refers to it as Models COALSCAN Model 2100 or Model 2100. Please indicate the correct Model designation that should be used in your Registration Certificate.

2. Based on the information provided in your letter dated February 22, 2012, it is our understanding that Model COALSCAN 2100 will be offered with four different C-frames configurations as follows: (1) rotating frame (as currently listed in your Registration Certificate), (2) rigid frame, (3) 1150 mm extended rigid frame, and (4) 1250 mm extended rigid frame. Please confirm that our understanding is correct. In addition, please clarify whether these four configurations for Model COALSCAN 2100 will have different Models designations; if so, provide the designation for each of Models.

3. Please provide the material used for construction of the gussets, as well as the assembly methods (screws, welds, etc.). In your response, state the compatibility of the gussets material with those utilized for construction of the C-frame and address whether corrosion is likely to occur between materials.

4. Please confirm that the QA/QC program commitments made by Scan Technologies in your Registration Certificate have not changed. If Scan Technologies, Inc. is ANSI/ISO/ASQ 9001-2008 certified, please provide a copy of the current ISO certification.

5. Your current Registration Certificate currently contains a copy of the label for Generally Licensed devices.

For completeness purposes, please provide a copy of the label for Specifically Licenses devices to be included in your Registration Certificate.

6. For completeness purposes, please provide updated images/drawings/labels for those listed in Attachments 1 through 4 of your current Registration Certificate GA-0716-D-108-B. The current images are dark/blurry and some of the words are lot legible.

Please submit the requested information within 30 days of the date of this email. If we do not receive a response with the complete information within 30 days of the date of this email, we will consider your request as having been abandoned by you. This is without prejudice to the submission of a new request. If you intend to submit the information to us via email, the information should be submitted in an official company letter as an attachment to an e-mail.
