SUBJECT:

10 CFR 50.46(a)(3)(ii) Report Entergy Nuclear Operations, Inc.

Pilgrim Nuclear Power Station Docket No.: 50-293, License No.: DPR-35

Dear Sir or Madam:

Pursuant to 10 CFR 50.46(a)(3)(ii), Entergy hereby notifies the NRC of information provided by GE Hitachi by Reference 1 concerning potential errors in the Pilgrim Cycle 20 reload calculations related to Pilgrim Emergency Core Cooling System (ECCS) performance that could potentially impact the compliance with the peak cladding temperature (PCT) limit of 22000F.

The referenced notification applies to GNF2 and GE14 Type Fuel, which was included in the current Pilgrim Fuel Cycle 20 that will end on or about April 19, 2015. The reported change in Peak Cladding Temperature (PCT) is 20°F for both GE14 and GNF2 fuel types. For Fuel Cycle 20, the 20 °F PCT increase, makes the Licensing Basis PCT 2170 *F, which still complies with the PCT limit of 2200'F specified by 10 CFR 50.46(b)(1).

Thus, the reported PCT change had no impact on the public health and safety during Fuel Cycle

20. This letter contains no commitments.
