NRC ACTION IN RESPONSE TO THE DECEMBER 10, 2014 TELECONFERENCE MEETING OF THE ADVISORY COMMITTEE ON THE MEDICAL USES OF ISOTOPES Below is the recommendation from the December 10, 2014, teleconference meeting of the Advisory Committee on the Medical Uses of Isotopes (ACMUI). Following the recommendation is the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) staffs planned action in response to the recommendation.
ITEM (1):
The Committee endorsed the Draft ACMUI Advanced Notice for Public Rulemaking (ANPR) for 10 CFR Part 20 Report (ML14328A199) with the caveat that all of the minor modifications discussed during the teleconference would be incorporated before submission to NRC staff.
The recommendation passed unanimously with thirteen favorable votes. The Final ANPR for 10 CFR Part 20 Report will be distributed in January 2015. NRC staff will add this report to the official docket (Docket ID NRC-2009-0279) so as to be included as a comment submission.
