RIVER BEND STATION, UNIT 1 -WITHDRAWAL OF REQUESTED LICENSING ACTION RE: RELIEF REQUEST VRR-RBS-2014-2 (TAC NO. MF4448)

Dear Sir or Madam:

By letter dated May 14, 2014 (Agencywide Documents Access and Management System (ADAMS) Accession No. ML14164A435), as supplemented by letter dated October 8, 2014 (ADAMS Accession No. ML14296A377), Entergy Operations, Inc. (Entergy, the licensee),

submitted relief request VRR-RBS-2014-2 for the River Bend Station, Unit 1. The licensee proposed a one-time relief request from the testing frequency of safety relief valves per American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) Code Case OMN-17, Revision 0, "Alternative Rules for Testing ASME Class 1 Safety/Relief Valves."

By letter dated October 8, 2014, you requested to withdraw the application from U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) review. The NRC acknowledges your request to withdraw the application. NRC staff activities on the review have ceased and the associated Task Assignment Control (TAC) No. MF4448 has been closed.
