STAFF REVIEW OF THE PILGRIM NUCLEAR POWER STATIONS PHYSICAL SECURITY PLAN (REVISION 12) FOR THE INDEPENDENT SPENT FUEL STORAGE INSTALLATION SECURITY AND VERIFICATION OF ASM INCORPORATION (TAC NO. L24940)
The staff has completed its review of Pilgrim Nuclear Power Station (PNSP) Physical Security Plan (PSP) Rev.12 which submitted by Entergy Nuclear Operations, Inc. to the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) by letter dated October 9, 2014.
Based on our review, we find the submitted PSP to be acceptable and the PNPS PSP has met the applicable performance objectives and general requirements outlined in Title 10 of the Code of Federal Regulation (10 CFR) Section 73.55, and the Additional Security Measures (ASMs) imposed by NRC Order EA-13-132.
A physical security inspection (IR No. 07201044/2014001) was completed on August 13, 2014 and verified that the PSP successfully meets the objectives outlined in IP 81311. Based on staffs observations, the PNPS PSP has met the performance objectives and general requirements outlined in 10 CFR Section 73.55 and the ASMs imposed by the NRC.
