INTERIM 10 CFR PART 21 REPORT REGARDING DEVIATIONS OF MODULES AND SUB-MODULES SUPPLIED FOR AP 1000 PROJECTS The attachment to this letter provides an interim report in accordance with 10 CFR 21.21 pertaining to the identification of deviations associated with modules and sub-modules being supplied as structural components for the V. C. Summer and Vogtle nuclear projects. The deviations that are being evaluated are associated with measurement of surface contamination and conductimetric analysis of water soluble ionic contamination of blasting abrasives used on module and sub-module components.
Evaluation for reportability in accordance with 10 CFR Part 21 was not able to be completed within the 60-day evaluation period due the failure to properly identify and track this condition. The failure to properly identify and track this condition has been identified in the CB&I Power Corrective Action Program. It is expected that the evaluation for reportability will be completed by August 19, 2014.
If you have any questions pertaining to this information, please contact Curtis Castell, Licensing Manager, at 980-321-8314.
