MOTION FOR EXTENSION OF TIME TO FILE PETITIONERS REPLY TO NRC STAFF ANSWER The Petitioner, Sierra

Club, hereby moves for an extension of time to file a Reply to the NRC staff Answer filed herein on May 20, 2014, and in support thereof states as follows:

The NRC staff Answer was filed herein on May 20, 2014.

Pursuant to 10 C.F.R.

§ 2.309, the Petitioner has seven days to file a

Reply to that Answer.

That would make the Reply due by May 27, 2014.

Counsel for the Petitioner was out of his office in trial from May 20, 2014 until the afternoon of May 23, 2014. So counsel was not able to review the Answer until he returned to his office on May 23.

Under these circumstances, counsel will not have sufficient time to prepare and file a Reply by the current due date.

The Petitioner is requesting an additional seven days, until June 3, 2014, to file a Reply. All parties have been consulted about this request. The NRC staff has stated that they have no objection to the requested extension. Counsel

2 for Omaha Public Power District takes no position on the request.

The Nuclear Energy Institute, Amicus

Curiae, has no objection to the request.

Based on the foregoing, the Petitioner requests an extension of time, to and including June 3, 2014, to file a Reply to the NRC staff Answer.
