Jeff, by letter dated December 19, 2013 (Agencywide Documents Access and Management System (ADAMS)

Accession No. ML140064A081), Entergy Operations, Inc. (the licensee) submitted a license amendment request (LAR) to revise the Grand Gulf Nuclear Station, Unit No. 1 (GGNS) Cyber Security Plan Implementation Schedule. Specifically, this LAR proposed a change to the GGNS Cyber Security Plan Milestone 8 implementation date. The US Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) staff has reviewed the Entergy submittal dated December 19, 2013, regarding changes to the Milestone 8 implementation date and has determined that the following additional information is required to complete its review of the amendment request:

1) The LAR provides details about the impact of the additional time requested on the effectiveness of the overall cyber security program in the context of milestones already completed. However, the information provided does not include information about Milestone 5 Implement observation and identification of obvious cyber related tampering to existing insider mitigation rounds by incorporating the appropriate elements. Milestone 5 was scheduled for completion no later than December 31, 2012. Provide details about the impact of the additional time requested on the effectiveness of the overall cyber security program in the context of Milestone 5.
