Minor Editorial/Typographical Changes to License Condition TAC MF1771)

Bill, As we discussed regarding Supplement 1 to LAR 255, License Renewal Condition Deletion (dated March 19, 2014), I understand you will be making two minor editorial/typographical alterations to the new license condition being proposed (restated below for reference).

If all spent fuel assemblies have not been removed from the spent fuel pool by December 31, 2017, DEK shall request, prior to that date, an amendment to the license, pursuant to 10 CFR 50.90, to incorporate boron carbide and Boral surveillance programs (specified as Items 38 and 39 in Appendix A of NUREG-1958, Safety Evaluation Report Related to the Kewaunee Power Station, dated January 2011) into the Technical Specifications.

The term DEK in the paragraph above, which is identified as Dominion Energy Kewaunee in our March 19, 2014 submittal, is also identified as the licensee in that submittal. Therefore, since the terms DEK and the licensee are one and the same entity, substituting one term for the other does not alter the proposed condition and is therefore acceptable.

As also identified in our March 19, 2014 submittal, the full title of NUREG-1958 is stated in Reference 7, on Page 4 of 4 in, as: NUREG-1958, Safety Evaluation Report Related to the License Renewal of Kewaunee Power Station, dated January 2011. It appears that part of the title of NUREG-1958 was not transcribed into the proposed license condition. This is likely due to the fact that this shortened title also appears as such in the existing license Condition 2.C.(15)(b). However, it would be appropriate to state the full title of NUREG-1958 in the license condition as:

Safety Evaluation Report Related to the License Renewal of Kewaunee Power Station.
