Fermi 2 License Renewal Application DTE Electric is applying for a renewed operating license for Fermi 2 pursuant to 10 CFR 51 and 10 CFR 54. The renewed license would extend the license for twenty years from midnight, March 20, 2025 until midnight, March 20, 2045.The enclosed license renewal application, including its appendices, contains the information required by 10 CFR 54 for a license renewal application.

The application meets the timeliness requirements of 10 CFR 54.17 and 10 CFR 2.109(b).

The application includes an environmental report (Operating License Renewal Stage)prepared in accordance with 10 CFR 54.23 and 10 CFR 51, Subpart A.As required by 10 CFR 54.21 (b), current licensing basis changes which have a material effect on the content of this application, including the Updated Final Safety Analysis Report (UFSAR) Supplement in Appendix A, will be identified and submitted to the NRC at least annually while the application is under NRC review and at least three months prior to the scheduled completion of the NRC review.Table A.4, License Renewal Commitment List, in Appendix A of the enclosed application provides a listing of the commitments made in the technical portion of the application to implement or enhance aging management activities.

-The four potentially cost-beneficial Severe Accident Mitigation Alternative (SAMA) candidates will be evaluated.
