DOE Agreement on Spent Fuel Cost Reimbursement Dee, this is to inform NRC of the agreement we have with DOE regarding reimbursement of spent fuel storage costs, as you requested this morning:
In June of 2011, the Company executed a DOE settlement agreement for Calvert Cliffs to reimburse the Company for spent nuclear fuel storage costs expended or to be expended through 2013 pertaining to Calvert Cliffs. The government and the Company have agreed to extend the DOE Settlement Agreements to cover costs expended or to be expended through 2016, and the Company expects the settlement to be further extended beyond 2016.
