STATE OF NEW YORK DEPARTMENT OF ENVIRONMENTAL CoNSERVATION ALBANY, NEW YORK 12233-1010 MAR 12 2014 JoE MARTENS COMMISSIONER Thank you for your letter regarding your concerns about the proposed Algonquin Incremental Market Project (AIM), and the West Point Partners Transmission Project (WPP), both of which propose to cross the Hudson River in the general location of the Indian Point Energy Center in the Village of Buchanan. DEC is aware ofthese proposals and is an active party in the proceedings for both projects. The AIM project is currently in the pre-filing process for Federal Energy Regulatory Commission review; and the WPP project is under review in accordan.ce with Article VII of the New York Public Service Law. Please be assured that as DEC conducts environmental reviews for both of these proposals we will address the issues raised in your letter.
