Enclosed for your information is the synopsis of the Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC)

Office of Investigations (OI) completed report regarding falsification of danger tags.

OI determined that there was insufficient evidence to substantiate the allegation that two assistant unit operators willfully falsified nine danger tags. We plan no further action with regard to this matter. Should you have any questions concerning this letter, please contact us.

In accordance with 10 CFR 2.390 of the NRC's "Rules of Practice," a copy of this letter and its enclosure will be available electronically for public inspection in the NRC Public Document Room or from the Publicly Available Records (PARS) component of NRC's document system (ADAMS). Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC), Office of Investigations (OI), Region II (RII), on June 7, 2013, to determine whether the two Assistant Unit Operators (AUO), at Browns Ferry Nuclear Plant (BFNP) willfully falsified, by virtue of their signature, the same date and time for the manipulation and application of all nine Danger tags contained in Tagout No. 0-TO-3013-001 and Clearance No. 0-023-008.

Based upon the evidence developed during this investigation, OI:RII did not substantiate that the two AUOs willfully falsified, by virtue of their signature the same date and time for the manipulation and application of all nine Danger tags contained in Tagout No. 0-TO-3013-001 and Clearance No. 0-023-008.
