REQUESTS FOR ADDITIONAL INFORMATION FOR THE REVIEW OF THE BRAIDWOOD STATION, LICENSE RENEWAL APPLICATION ENVIRONMENTAL REPORT
Dear Mr. Gallagher:
By letter dated May 29, 2013, Exelon Generation Company, LLC (Exelon), submitted for review by the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC or the staff) an application pursuant to Title 10 of the Code of Federal Regulations Part 54, to renew operating licenses NPF-72 and NPF-77 for Braidwood Station, Units 1 and 2. The staff is reviewing the information contained in the license renewal application environmental report and has identified, in the enclosure to this letter, areas where additional information is needed to complete the review.

BRAIDWOOD STATION LICENSE RENEWAL APPLICATION ENVIRONMENTAL REPORT REQUESTS FOR ADDITIONAL INFORMATION Human Health-Microbiological Hazards RAI # H-1 Section 4.12, Page 4-37 of the Environmental Report states, "the circulating water and service water systems are both chlorinated to control bio-fouling, which also serves to inhibit growth of pathogens." Please provide a summary of Exelon's chlorination procedures for the circulating water and service water systems that includes the chlorine compounds used to treat each system as well as the concentrations and frequency of injection.
