February 26, 2014 U.S. Department of Homeland Security Washington, DC 20472 536 South Clark Street, Floor 6 Chicago, IL 60605 FEMA Attached for your review and comment are the Berrien County Michigan Emergency Operation Plan revision of October 30, 2013 and NUREG-0654/FEMA-REP-1 Annotation I Cross-Walk. Berrien County lies within the 1 0-mile emergency planning zones for the Donald C. Cook Nuclear Plant and Palisades Nuclear Power Plant.
We request that you review this material for conformity to Title 44, Code of Federal Regulations, Part 350, and the requirements in NUREG-0654. Please provide written comments regarding your review to FEMA, Region V, by March 31,2014. Please retain all previously approved plan sections until all Regional Assistance Committee members have provided us with their review comments. At that time we will notify you of our findings concerning final approval, and provide updating instructions.
