POINT BEACH NUCLEAR PLANT, UNITS 1 AND 2 - REQUEST FOR VALIDATION REVIEW OF LICENSE ELIGIBILITY
Dear Mr. McCartney:
In a letter (NRC 2013-0047) you requested the NRC perform an eligibility review for Mr. Bryan Loeffler to allow participation in the next Point Beach Nuclear Plant Licensed Operator Exam (February 2015). We have conducted an equivalency evaluation for Mr. Bryan Loefflers academic experience and determined that Mr. Loefflers educational experience meets the 18-months of power plant experience equivalency. The NRC did not review Mr. Loefflers military and commercial nuclear power experience as it was not provided with the academic equivalency review request. The NRCs review found that the 18-month equivalency granted by the NRC, combined with Point Beach Nuclear Plants assigned 29-months of military and commercial experience at the Point Beach Nuclear Plant, exceeds the 36-month experience requirement for Mr. Loeffler to participate in your Initial License Examination Program and to sit for the February 2015 NRC examination.
