South Texas license renewal sect 7 consultation status Hi Moni, I would like to touch base about the informal section 7 consultation associated with the South Texas Project license renewal. Did you get my phone message from last Friday (1/12)?

I would like to discuss the status of the consultation and whether you have all of the information you need to make a determination. You should have received a letter from NRC dated December 2, 2013, forwarding the final Supplemental Environmental Impact Statement for the project and requesting FWSs concurrence on our effect determinations for two Federally listed species (northern aplomado falcon and Spragues pipit). You were CCed on both electronic and paper copies, but here is a link to the letter for your reference.

It would be helpful to understand where you are in the review process and when you anticipate being able to formally respond to the December 2 letter so that I can communicate that to my management. Please feel free to give me a call any time this week. You can also let me know when you are free, and I can give you a call. I want to make sure that if you have questions or need more information, I am available to you to provide answers. Thanks!

Briana

RE: South Texas: revised T&E analysis Hi Moni, I wanted to follow up on my previous email (below). Have you had a chance to look at the revised T&E analysis? Are there any questions that I can answer for you? Please feel free to email me or call me if you need anything during your review.

We still anticipate the publication of the final supplemental EIS (into which the revised T&E analysis will be incorporated) to be in July.

Thanks!

Briana

South Texas: revised T&E analysis Hi Moni, Thanks for talking with me earlier today. I have attached the revised T&E analysis for the South Texas nuclear plant license renewal. We will be incorporating this into the final supplemental EIS, which is scheduled to be completed in July 2013. The first section of the attached document discusses the changes in the scope of the transmission line review, and I also included a section that explicitly discusses the action area, as defined in the ESA. The revised action area is located in Matagorda County only, so I only included Federally listed species from this county in the analysis. The description of the plant site, cooling system, etc. have not changed, so you can refer to the November 2012 draft supplemental EIS for these. Please let me know if you have any questions. Thanks, Briana
