This email provides a status update concerning your April 23, 2012, 2.206 petition that requested the NRC shut down or prohibit restart of the Saint Lucie and Turkey Point nuclear plants, until an investigation of the AMES Group LLC is complete and everything has been verified safe. This status update is provided in keeping with the guidance in Management Directive 8.11, Review Process for 10 CFR 2.206 petitions.
On November 1, 2013, the Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) issued its proposed directors decision on your petition, and notified you via email of its proposed directors decision. This email notifies you that the NRC staff plans on issuing its final directors decision on or by January 14, 2014.
