Completion of Activities to Support Entry into the Period of Extended Operation

NUREG 1843 Supplement 1, "Safety Evaluation Report Related to the License Renewal of Browns Ferry Nuclear Plant Units 1, 2, and 3,"
Dated April 2006 The referenced safety evaluation identified the commitments to the Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) that are required to be completed prior to Browns Ferry Nuclear Plant, (BFN) Unit 1, entering the period of extended operation on December 20, 2013.
BFN, Unit 1, License Condition 2.E states in part, "certain future activities shall be completed prior to the period of extended (POE) operation. TVA shall complete these activities no later than December 20, 2013, and shall notify the NRC in writing when implementation if these activities are complete and can be verified by NRC inspection."
The Tennessee Valley Authority has completed the commitments specified in the referenced safety evaluation required for entry into POE.
