Location of Meeting: U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission Region III Office Suite 210 2443 Warrenville Road Lisle, IL 60532-4352 Purpose of Meeting: This is a meeting between the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) and NextEra Energy Duane Arnold, LLC, to discuss the significance associated with an apparent violation of the technical specifications to the stations license for a system being inoperable for a period longer than the technical specification allowed outage time. The apparent violation is discussed in NRC Inspection Report 05000331/2013004 (ML13319A278), and the issue appears to be of low to moderate safety significance, i.e. White.
The NRCs Policy Statement, Enhancing Public Participation in NRC Meetings, effective May 28, 2002, applies to this meeting. The policy statement may be found on the NRC website, www.nrc.gov, and contains information regarding visitors and security.
