BRAIDWOOD STATION, UNIT NOS. 1 AND 2- CORRECTION OF INTERIM STAFF EVALUATION AND REQUEST FOR ADDITIONAL INFORMATION REGARDING THE OVERALL INTEGRATED PLAN FOR IMPLEMENTATION OF ORDER EA-12-051, RELIABLE SPENT FUEL POOL INSTRUMENTATION (TAC NOS. MF0821 AND MF0822)

Dear Mr. Pacilio:

On November 4, 2013 (Agencywide Documents Access and Management System (ADAMS)

Accession No. ML13280A566), the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) issued the interim staff evaluation and request for additional information regarding the Overall Integrated Plan for implementation of Order EA-12-051, "Order Modifying Licenses with Regard to Reliable Spent Fuel Pool Instrumentation" (ADAMS Accession No. ML12054A679). The November 4, 2013, letter contained inconsistent dates when describing your schedule for achieving compliance with the order.

The purpose of this letter is to correct the inconsistent dates. Section 3.1 of the interim staff evaluation correctly states that your February 28, 2013, Overall Integrated Plan included installation of the spent fuel pool instrumentation by spring 2015. The transmittal letter and Section 1.0 should have also have identified the date as spring 2015. Based on the spring 2015 date, the requested response date to the included request for additional information is September 30, 2014.
