U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission One White Flint North, Room 0-14B8 11555 Rockville Pike Rockville, MD 20852 The NRC and licensee participants will discuss the planned submittal of a plant-specific license amendment request (LAR) to revise the Monticello Nuclear Generating Plant technical specifications to adopt analysis methodologies allowing operation with AREVA fuel in the extended flow window of the power-flow map. The purpose of the meeting is for.the licensee to inform the NRC staff of the evaluation and planning being performed to improve confidence in the review schedule, including an initiative related to its nuclear fuel supply.
The licensee intends to describe the scope of the proposed LAR as it relates to ongoing NRC staff reviews of LARs regarding AREVA fuel transition and General Electric Maximum Extended Load Line Limit Analysis Plus. Portions of the me~ting will include discussion of proprietary information and will be closed to the public.
This is a Category 1 meeting. The public is invited to observe this meeting and will have an opportunity to communicate with the NRC staff after the business portion, but before the meeting is adjourned.
