Dear Mr. Berlinger:
Pacific Northwest Laboratories (PNL) has recently inquired about the status of diesel engine wiring and terminations with regard to TDI Owners Group recommendations for Catawba Nuclear Station, Unit 1 and San Onofre Nuclear Generating Station, Unit 1. Specifically, PNL asked if verification of the type of sliding link terminal blocks utilized at Catawba had been performed and if TDI Service Information Memo (SIM) No. 361 had been implemented at either site. Inquiries made for both sites yielded the following information:
- 1. Catawba Nuclear Station - SIM No. 361 has been implemented.
Verification of sliding link terminal block type has not been performed to date.
- 2. San Onofre Nuclear Generating Station - SIM No. 361 has been implemented.
