Dear Administrative Judges:

Pursuant to the Boards Revised Scheduling Order of November 19, 2012 and the Secretarys October 10, 2013 Notice,1 this letter informs the Board of the NRC Staffs current milestone schedule for the Diablo Canyon Units 1 and 2 license renewal safety evaluation and environmental review. In light of PG&Es status report filed with the Board on October 8, 2013, the Staff expects to issue the DSEIS in September of 2014. Subsequent to issuing the DSEIS, the Staff expects to finalize its safety and environmental reviews, to include issuance of the supplemental environmental impact statement (SEIS) and any necessary supplements to the safety evaluation report by the end of April 2015. This estimate is based on PG&Es intent to 1
