U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission Page 2 October 4, 2013 On March 12, 2012, the Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) issued Reference 1 to all power reactor licensees and holders of construction permits in active or deferred status. of Reference 1 contains specific Requested Actions, Requested Information, and Required Responses associated with Near Term Task Force (NTTF) Recommendation 2.3: Seismic.

By reference 2, TVA submitted to the NRC the Seismic Walkdown Reports as requested per of Reference 1 for Sequoyah Nuclear Plant (SQN) Units 1 and 2. Reference 3 notified TVA of the NRC plans to conduct a regulatory audit on August 27-29, 2013, to verify information and gain a better understanding of TVA's conduct of the seismic walkdowns at SQN.

Based on the results of the regulatory audit, TVA has revised the SQN Units 1 and 2 Seismic Walkdown Reports. The purpose of this letter is to submit the revised Seismic Walkdown Reports to the NRC. Enclosures 1 and 2 provide the SQN Unit 1 and 2 revised Seismic Walkdown Reports, respectively. The revised reports incorporate: clarifications resulting from the NRC audit; corrective actions as documented in TVA's Corrective Action Program from the NRC audit and from TVA's internal Quality Assurance audit performed prior to the NRC audit; and, other editorial changes. The specific changes are noted in the Revision Logs to each revised report. The revised reports in this letter supersede in their entirety the reports submitted in Reference 2.

This letter contains no new regulatory commitments.
