STAFF REVIEW OF THE SOUTHERN NUCLEAR OPERATING COMPANY SECURITY PLAN (REVISION 14) INDEPENDENT SPENT FUEL STORAGE INSTALLATION PHYSICAL SECURITY PLAN AND VERIFICATION OF ASM INCORPORATION On August 13, 2013, a Security Inspection conducted by Randy Patterson, Physical Security Inspector from U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) Region II Plant Support Branch 2, Division of Reactor Safety, verified that the Independent Spent Fuel Storage Installation (ISFSI) located at the Vogtle Electric Generating Plant has successfully met the objectives outlined in IP 81311. The Inspection Report numbers for this report are 05000424/2013403, 05000425/2013403, and 07201039/2013401.
Based on our review, we have determined that the Southern Nuclear Operating Company Security Plan Revision 14 (NS113023), has met the performance objectives and general requirements outlined in Title 10 of the Code of Federal Regulation, Section 73.55, and the April 23, 2012 NRC Order (EA-12-047) imposing the Implementation of Additional Security Measures for the Vogtle Electric Generating Plants ISFSI.
