Dear Ms. Schlueter:
Thank you for your letters dated, July 29, 2013, and August 7, 2013 (Agencywide Documents Access and Management System [ADAMS] Accession Nos. ML13226A059 and ML13226A069). The U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission appreciates the Nuclear Energy Institutes perspective on this issue and is carefully reviewing the letters and enclosures, as well as the proposed path forward.
It is our intent to actively engage you and our other stakeholders as we move forward on the activities mentioned in your letters. We anticipate continued dialog on this topic during future meetings such as a public teleconference meeting on September 11, 2013, and again at the public meeting scheduled for October 3, 2013, to discuss Title 10 of the Code of Federal Regulations Part 70.72 and other topics. These interactions will be structured to help ensure effective communication, while minimizing the burden on stakeholders to participate.
