SCHEOULE REVISION FOR THE ENVIRONMENTAL REVIEW OF THE GRANO GULF NUCLEAR STATION LICENSE RENEWAL APPLICATION
Dear Mr. Mulligan:
By letter dated October 28, 2011, Entergy Operations, Inc. (Entergy), submitted an application pursuant to Title 10 of the Code of Federal Regulations (1 0 CFR) Part 51 and 10 CFR Part 54, to renew the Grand Gulf Nuclear Station, Unit 1 (GGNS). operating license NPF-29, for review by the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC). This letter is to inform you of a change in the environmental review schedule for the GGNS license renewal review.
Enclosed is the NRC staff's revised environmental review schedule for the GGNS license renewal application. The schedule is being revised because the NRC staff requires the additional time to allow for the internal review of additional items related to the Supplemental Environmental Impact Statement (SEIS) in a manner which balances the internal workload across numerous ongoing reviews. The schedule has been updated to reflect a change in the date of the issuance of the draft SEIS and subsequent environmental review milestones.
