SCHEDULE REVISION FOR THE ENVIRONMENTAL REVIEW OF THE LIMERICK GENERATING STATION, UNITS 1 AND 2, LICENSE RENEWAL APPLICATION
Dear Mr. Gallagher:
By letter dated June 22, 2011, Exelon Generation Company, LLC (Exelon) submitted an application pursuant to Title 10 of the Code of Federal Regulations Part 54 (1 0 CFR Part 54), to renew Operating Licenses NPF-39 and NPF-85 for Limerick Generating Station, Units 1 and 2 (LGS) for review by the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC or the staff). This letter is to inform you of a change in the environmental review schedule for the LGS license renewal review.
Enclosed is the NRC staff's revised environmental review schedule for the LGS license renewal application. The schedule is being revised because the NRC staff requires the additional time to allow for the internal review of additional items related to the Supplemental Environmental Impact Statement (SEIS) in a manner which balances the internal workload across numerous ongoing reviews. The schedule has been updated to reflect a change in the date of the issuance of the final SEIS.
