Briana, We completed dredging the intake canal (a.k.a. channel, embayment) at the end of last year (2011).

Joe, I got (yet another!) question from Julie Crocker at NMFS. The first part of her question is easy-the NRC does not require dredging in the Pilgrim operating license. For the second part, the NRC's SEIS states that Entergy has no plans to dredge the intake canal (Section 4.8., page 4-75, paragraph 2), but I wanted to check with you to make sure that this is still an accurate statement before sending Julie a response.

I am working on addressing edits to our consultation letter -- the issue of dredging has come up. Could you 1 6 113 please clarify whether maintenance dredging of the intake canal or any other location is required as part of the

license and whether NRC considers dredging as part of the action under consideration?
