By letter dated June 10, 2013, the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) sent FirstEnergy Nuclear Operating Company (FENOC) a request for additional information (RAI) on the overall integrated plans for Perry Nuclear Power Plant (PNPP), Unit No. 1, which FENOC provided in response to Order EA-12-051, Reliable Spent Fuel Pool Instrumentation. A copy of this letter is available in the Agencywide Documents Access and Management System (ADAMS) under Accession No. ML13155A539.
After issuing the RAI, the NRC staff found that it had inadvertently left off one question regarding power supplies. Please provide the following information for PNPP:
RAI-6a: A description of the electrical ac power sources and capacities for the primary and backup channels.
A response to this question should be provided with your RAI response that is due July 5, 2013. Like the previous request, if this information is unavailable by July 5, 2013, then provide the dates when this information will be submitted.
This email is considered to be an official request and will be made publicly available in ADAMS.
